A Tasty Sugar Substitute
Unlike table sugar, coconut sugar is unrefined, maintaining all the nutritional elements normally destroyed during industrial processing. Comparable to brown sugar in look and texture, the subtle, yet delectable caramel flavor of coconut sugar offers a healthier alternative to refined white sugar. Use Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Sugar as a 1:1 replacement for traditional sugar, achieving the same sweetness and satisfying your sweet tooth, without the typical sugar spike or dietary guilt.

Coconut sugar replaces refined white sugar, dissolving easily in all of your favorite beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies or lemonade.
Make low-glycemic cookies, muffins, brownies, pies, puddings, cakes and more. For delicious homemade brownies, preheat your oven to 350°F. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk 4 large eggs, one cup of Viva Naturals Organic Cacao Powder, one cup of Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Sugar, ¼ cup Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, two tbsp of almond or coconut milk, two tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Pour the mixture onto a parchment paper lined baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow the brownies to cool before serving.
Sauces & Dressings
Substitute Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Sugar for refined sugar, brown sugar and processed sweeteners in barbecue sauces, teriyaki sauces and dressings. For a healthier teriyaki sauce, simply mix ¼ cup rice vinegar, ¼ cup coconut aminos (or reduced-sodium soy sauce), one tbsp of sesame oil, three tbsp of Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Sugar, two minced cloves of garlic and chili pepper to taste. Whisk in a small bowl until well combined.
Paleo Caramel Sauce
Bring ¼ cup of water and ½ cup of Viva Naturals Organic Coconut Sugar to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Add one cup of full fat coconut milk, one tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, continuously stirring to keep the mixture from burning. Remove from heat once the mixture has thickened and is golden in color.
