The Best Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Ever

Featuring pumpkin purée, pumpkin seeds, and pumpkin pie spice, this oatmeal recipe will satisfy any pumpkin craving you have. Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

Recipe from The Food Network

Ingredients

One can of unseasoned pumpkin purée (14 oz)

2 cups of almond milk - unsweetened

2 cups of water

1/4 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

2 tbsp raisins

2 cups cooking oatmeal

3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Maple syrup or honey

Directions

  1. Combine water, pumpkin purée, raisins, milk, pumpkin pie spice and salt in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour in the oatmeal, turn down the heat and cook the mixture according to the instructions provided with your oatmeal. Stir frequently.
  2. Toast the pumpkin seeds for approximately 10 minutes in a cast-iron frying pan on medium heat. Cook until they become golden brown in color.
  3. When the oatmeal has finished cooking, sprinkle the pumpkin seeds on top and serve it with maple syrup or honey. Makes 4 extra-large portions.
